A bright future is beginning at One River Street
For more than 150 years, One River Street was the economic heart of Hastings-on-Hudson, providing good jobs for the entire region.
Unfortunately, since the closing of Anaconda Wire and Cable in 1977, this site has sat - parts of it vacant, all of it underutilized.
Now, as cleanup and remediation begins, a transformation is underway that will unlock once again the great potential of this site for the community and the entire region.
In preparation for the completion of redevelopment, local officials and a local government advisory group known as the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) have begun visualizing and planning the nature of the re-use or redevelopment that will take place on the riverfront. Some planning goals are becoming clear: the community has expressed a desire for greenspace, public access to the riverfront and the encouragement of a mixed-use residential/commercial development.

Atlantic Richfield Company (ARC) is committed to returning this property to productive re-use. ARC supports this planning process and has pledged to work closely with the community over the next several years to make certain this site is ready to support the type of redevelopment the community wants and deserves.
